We celebrate the festival of Aragon's patron saint with el lanzón de San Jorge, made with soft sponge, nougat mousse and toasted egg yolk and sugar. Allegorical decorations are put on this sweet.
Palm Sunday
Jesus's triumphant entrance into Jerusalem continues to be honoured using palms decorated with caramelised decoration.
Easter
Our best-known traditional sweet: the piedrecicas del Calvario are a feature of all tables at this time of year. What child does not long for their godfather to give them monas de chocolate at Easter? Each one representing favourite characters (from traditional Easter eggs through to more recent innovations).
